Stop Shipping Air. Maximize Container Volume in Real-Time 3D.
CargoOptix is browser-based 3D container load planning software for freight forwarders, shippers and warehouse teams: optimal cargo placement, door-to-nose stuffing sequences, and gross mass working to support SOLAS VGM declarations. Gross mass figures are planning aids, not a verified VGM declaration.

Frequently asked questions
Can my team share a plan?
Yes. Team plans are set up on request: tell us how many people plan loads on the contact page and we will quote and set it up. Each colleague signs up free, then you add their email from your account. You manage billing; their access follows your plan.
What do I get when I sign up?
7 days of unlimited load plans, free, starting when you confirm your email (or straight away with Google). No card needed. After that you keep 1 full plan every day for free, and can buy a pass, a run pack or a plan whenever you need more. One trial per person.
What does CargoOptix actually do?
Upload your manifest (Excel or CSV). CargoOptix calculates optimal 3D container packing, generates step-by-step door-to-nose loading guides, and outputs gross mass calculations to support SOLAS VGM declarations.
Which containers, trucks and pallets are supported?
Sea: 20ft & 40ft standard, 40ft/45ft high-cube, 45ft pallet wide, reefers, and open tops. Road: 53ft dry van, 26ft box truck, tautliners, mega trailers, and rigid trucks. Pallets: EUR/EPAL, US GMA, Asia 1100x1100, and UAE/AU 1165x1165.
What file formats can I upload?
Excel (.xlsx, .xls) and CSV. Reads dimensions, gross weights, orientation locks, stacking limits, and fragility rules. Strict unit screening catches scale errors before plans are generated.
How accurate is the plan, and who is responsible for it?
Calculates gross mass and centre of gravity with visible arithmetic, and estimates axle loads for road vehicles from the cargo alone — the real figure also depends on the truck and trailer. Treat every figure as a planning baseline; final verification and signed SOLAS VI/2 VGM declarations remain the shipper’s responsibility.
Does it help with SOLAS VGM declarations?
Calculates gross mass (cargo + published container tare + pallet weight) with full itemized arithmetic. Verifying and signing the official VGM declaration remains with the shipper under SOLAS VI/2.
What is Pre-Order Filler Optimization?
Once your planned cargo manifest is packed, CargoOptix detects remaining spatial dead zones and roof gaps. It advises exact additional box quantities directly from your active product list to fill the remaining space before sending your Purchase Order to suppliers.
Is there a free version, and what are the limits?
Every new account gets 7 days of unlimited load plans, then 1 free load plan a day (resets 00:00 UTC, no credit card required). Need more? Purchase non-expiring credit packs or subscribe to an unlimited monthly plan.
How does billing work, and can I cancel?
Payments are handled by Paddle, our reseller. Subscriptions renew automatically; cancel or pause any time from your account page, and you keep access until the end of the period you paid for. Credit packs are one-time purchases that never expire.
What happens to my shipment data?
Your manifests are processed entirely in your browser — proprietary packing data never leaves your machine. We only store account credentials and plan usage via Supabase and our payment provider.
Does it integrate with our ERP, TMS or WMS?
Through files today: import manifests from Excel or CSV, and export load plans as PDF and CSV. There is no direct system-to-system integration.
Can we run it on our own infrastructure?
Not as a self-hosted install. But the packing runs in your browser, so your cargo data never leaves your computer.
Something is wrong. How do I reach a human?
Email saam@cargo-optix.com or submit the contact form below. CargoOptix is built and run by one engineer, so you reach the person who wrote the code, not a ticket queue.
